    Just a couple of weeks ago I was teaching religion class to some 5th-6th graders. I talked about how there was nothing special about Abraham that God should choose him. One girl piped up and said, “Everyone is special!” I did a mental rolling of the eyes and just kind of let her comment go by while explaining again how Abraham was old, childless, and hadn’t done anything great to get God’s attention. {sigh}
