The Mission of Man
An excellent quote from Randy that was posted on Donal Graeme’s blog:
After discovering the manosphere this past summer I’ve decided that being unmarried for the rest of my life is a major possibility. A big part of me doesn’t like that at all. Yes, everything is stacked against us. The laws are unjust. But that’s our cross to bear. I have resolved to be content with my life, and yet still be open to the possibility of marriage in the future, while at the same time pursuing achievement in my own life — my mission, as it were. Part of that mission involves a reform of the family laws in my country. I’m no lawyer or politician, but I can study and make arguments, and so I hope to influence others to support good changes to our laws. If I can’t have marriage, perhaps my nephews and nieces can.
I think this one little paragraph captures the essence of the kind of God-pleasing sacrifice us guys are here for – to fight for justice and righteousness for others and those who come after, even at the expense of our own wants, needs, and desires.
